1. Bring sunblock. The only thing worse than a hangover, is having a hangover with a bad sunburn. I saw plenty of Rock Lobsters last year.

2. Dinner is always a good idea. I know you don't want to ruin your buzz by eating a bunch of wings, but you'll thank me later when you get to actually see Chevelle. While your best friend is passed out in a stinky port-a-potty before the sun goes down.

3. Wear shoes, not sandals, & tie them on tight. Every year at the end of the day, there are hundreds of sandals & shoes left behind. Unless you want to go home barefoot.

4. Bring plenty of cash. You can't use credit cards at Wing Ding. There is 1 ATM at the Speedway. Plus, once you are in, you can't leave & come back. You're going to want something to eat & drink. You might even want to buy a shirt from your favorite band. You don't want to be that person, leaving the show after 2 bands because you are out of money.

5. Plan out your bathroom breaks & beer-runs. There will be alot more bathrooms & beer venders this year. Find out where they all are in advance. Then you can pick out the shortest lines. Don't just line-up like cattle. Also, don't wait until the last minute to head to the bathroom. There is nothing worse than peeing in your pants, because you were
waiting in line to piss. Noboby wants to have an empty beer. Plus, you don't want to miss your favorite band waiting in line.

6. Get your tickets in advance. I'm sure you will be able to get tickets at the door, but do you want to take that chance. Also, you don't want to waste that time in line to purchase a ticket.

7. Take a shower & put on extra deoderant before you come. Nobody wants to be the stinky guy. It sucks being stuck in a line or standing by someone who smells.

8. Bring your camera. You are going to have a great day, but you may need help remembering the next day. Plus, you will a great way to look back on the day. You might even run into 1 of the bands while you're there. There aren't many shows you can bring a camera to anymore, so take advantage.

9. Dress for the weather. The last couple of years, Wing Ding has been hot. There has been cold and rainy years too. You don't want to be miserable, just because you wanted to dress cool. If it's going to be hot, then don't wear all black long sleaves & jeans. If it's cold, don't wear shorts & a tanktop. By the way, if it is hot. There are people who
can go shirtless & wear short shorts. Fat guys please leave your shirts on!

10. Save yourself. Wing Ding is a long day. I have been miserable on Wing Ding day because I partied too hard the night before. Do yourself a favor & take it easy the night before. Also, don't plan anything for the next day. There is a reason we have it on the day before Memorial Day. Everybody is off of work. Take that day & recharge before another brutal work week.
